Story :

Based on the classic children's novel, "The Little White Horse", The Secret Of Moonacre, set in 1840's West Country, follows Maria, a 13 year old orphan, as she embarks on a journey to the mysterious Moonacre Manor. Once there, she finds herself in a world full of secrets and mystery. She discovers that she is the last Moon Princess and only has until the next full moon to undo the misdeeds of her ancestors to save the Moonacre estate disappearing into the sea forever. Along the way she seeks the help of a whole host of wonderful creatures and magical beasts.

มาเรีย เมอร์รี่เวทเธอร์ (ดาโกต้า บลู ริชาร์ด จาก The Golden Compass) คือเด็กสาววัย 13 ที่เพิ่งเสียพ่อของเธอไป โดยเขาทิ้งมรดกไว้แค่หนังสือเพียงเล่มเดียว ซึ่งทำให้เธอต้องจำใจย้ายออกจากแมนชั่นหรูในลอนดอน ไปยังบ้านชานเมืองที่ มูนเอเคอร์ วัลเล่ย์ เพื่ออยู่กับ เซอร์ เบนจามิน (ไอออน กรัฟฟัดด์) ผู้ชายท่าทางแปลกคนหนึ่งที่เธอไม่เคยรู้มาก่อนว่าคือลุงแท้ๆ

ในไม่ช้า มาเรีย ก็ค้นพบว่าหนังสือที่เธอได้รับจากพ่อนั้น เล่าถึงประวัติความเป็นมาของความขัดแย้งระหว่างตระกูลเมอร์รี่เวทเธอร์ และ ตระกูลเดอ นัวร์ อันชั่วร้าย ในการช่วงชิงกันครอบครองไข่มุกเวทย์มนต์ และเมื่อเธอได้อาศัยอยู่ใน มูนเอเคอร์ วัลเล่ย์ สถานที่ซึ่งได้รับแสงจันทร์มากที่สุดบนโลก มาเรีย ก็ค้นพบว่า แท้จริงแล้วเธอคือเจ้าหญิงแห่งจันทราองค์สุดท้าย และเธอก็ต้องพยายามรักษาครอบครัวเอาไว้ด้วยการหาไข่มุกเวทย์มนต์ ให้พบก่อนที่พระจันทร์จะเต็มดวงครั้งที่ 5000 ซึ่งจะทำให้ มูนเอเคอร์ วัลเล่ย์ ถูกดูดกลืนหายไปในท้องทะเลตลอดกาล
