Story :

The Chinese 7th month is a time when the gates of Hell open. Often known as the Hungry Ghost Festival, it is a time where the spirits of the dead wander around. Set in Singapore, a Filipino maid arrives for work on the first day and all hell breaks loose. Anticipate a colourful and creepy spookfest replete with Teochew opera, freaked-out Filipino maids and haunting 7th month vibes.

เรื่องราวของ โรซ่า (Alessandra de Rossi) สาวน้อยวัย 18 ปีจากฟิลิปปินส์ ที่เดินทางมาสิงคโปร์เพื่อเป็นสาวใช้ เธอเดินทางมาถึงสิงคโปร์ในช่วงเทศกาลเดือนเจ็ดของจีน ซึ่งช่วงเวลานี้ ตามความเชื่อโบราณจะเป็นช่วงที่ประตูนรกเปิด และคนตายจะออกมาเดินเพ่นพ่านบนโลกมนุษย์ จึงมีข้อห้ามบางอย่างที่ต้องปฏิบัติในช่วงเทศกาลนี้ เช่น ห้ามว่ายน้ำ, ห้ามหันหลังเมื่อได้ยินเสียงเรียกตอนกลางคืน,ห้ามคุยกับคนแปลกหน้าบนถนนเปลี่ยว ฯลฯ โรซ่าไม่เชื่อเรื่องผีและทำผิดกฎ ฝันร้ายจึงมาเยือน เธอเริ่มมองเห็นคนตายตามหลอกหลอน จนตกอยู่ในความหวาดผวาแทบสิ้นสติ สาวน้อยต้องดิ้นรนเอาตัวรอด เพื่อให้ได้ชีวิตเดิมกลับมา แต่ในที่สุด เธอก็ได้เผชิญกับบางอย่าง ที่น่ากลัวกว่าวิญญาณร้ายหลายเท่านัก
