Story :

Raj (Aamir Khan) meets Rashmi(Juhi Chawla) in a romantic interlude while on holiday in Mt Abu. Their romance blooms only to meet disaster when they discover that their families are bitter enemies from the past. It was Raj's father, Dhanraj Singh, played by Dalip Tahil, who had murdered Rashmi's uncle - years ago - to avenge the rape of his sister and gone to jail for his offence.

To escape getting caught in the family feud and Rashmi's impending marriage to the groom of her family's choice, the young love birds decide to elope. They find shelter in a desolate place in a distant rural locale and settle down to a blissful life.

This is when Rashmi's father, with the help of some hired goons, manages to track them down and passes orders to murder Raj. The end is touching, where in a climactic finish, the lovers get immortalized in their act of 'even death cannot do us part!
