Story :


Sorn (Ananda Everingham), a multiracial photographer, is assigned by his editor to take a picture of Laos, where he’s reluctant to go. Even though, Sorn is half-Laotian, going back to his homeland is never in his mind. Sorn arrives at Pak-Cher town where he hires a guide, Noi (Khamlek Pallawong) to take him out to the best picture spot in Laos. They go from LeePee waterfall, Korn-Papeang , all the way to See-Pun hill, which is branch island of the Mae Khong River. Unfortunately, it’s Noi’s first time being a tour guide. She keeps taking them to the wrong direction. They have to ride and cruise uneasily everywhere. As a result, Sorn have to go back to his childhood home. By the time he gets there, Sorn finds out that his distance family for over 10 years still remembers him and welcomes him with open arms. Sorn gradually see Laos as his own home.

At the same time, Sorn develops a crush with Noi. He then treats her like a princess. However, Realizing that Sorn is crossing the line, Noi try to avoids seeing Sorn as much as possible. Sorn discovers his own Laotian root and wants to prove to Noi that he’s not seeing her as only an one-night stand.

สอน (อนันดา เอเวอร์ริ่งแฮม) ช่างภาพหนุ่มลูกครึ่ง ถูกบก. ส่งไปถ่ายรูปที่ประเทศลาว โดยที่เขาไม่ค่อยเต็มใจนัก เพราะถึงแม้ตัวเขาจะมีเชื้อสายคนลาวอยู่ด้วย แต่ก็ไม่มีข้อมูลหรือเคยไปเมืองลาวเลยสักครั้ง

สอนมาถึงเมืองปากเซ เขาว่าจ้างไก๊ด์ชื่อน้อย (คำลี่ พิลาวง) พาเดินทางถ่ายรูปในแถบลาวใต้ ไปน้ำตกหลี่ผี , คอนพะเพ็ง เลยไปถึงสี่พันดอนที่เป็นเกาะแก่งในแม่น้ำโขง แต่ว่าไก๊ด์สาวเพิ่งทำงานเป็นครั้งแรก จึงพาหลงทางไปตลอด พวกเขาต้องต่อรถ ลงเรือ ไปที่ต่างๆ อย่างทุลักทุเล และสอนก็ต้องจำใจไปบ้านเก่าของพ่อตามที่สั่งไว้ แต่สอนกลับพบว่าญาติพี่น้องที่ห่างกันเป็นสิบปีต่างจำเขาได้ และให้การต้อนรับอย่างอบอุ่นจนสอนเริ่มมองภาพเมืองลาวว่าเป็นบ้านอีกที่หนึ่งของตน

สอนรู้สึกชอบพอกับน้อย เขาจึงทำดีกับเธอ แต่ทว่าเมื่อมีความสนิทสนมเกินเลย ระหว่างลูกทัวร์กับไก๊ด์ น้อยกลับไปฝ่ายถอยห่างและหลบหน้าเขาไป สอนค้นหารากเหง้าความเป็นคนลาวของตัวเอง และต้องหาทางพิสูจน์ให้น้อยเชื่อว่าเขาไม่ใช่นักท่องเที่ยวที่มาสร้างความรักเพียงชั่วคราว และทิ้งเธอไปที่อื่น

Great start for Laotians

I give this 4 stars for the following reasons:
1-WE, Laotians did a great job in airing our Laotian movies. Finally! Go Laos!
2-I'm very proud of how us Laotians have fianlly caught up with the filming gig, more Lao movies around the world please!
3-I was very pleased to see such natural politeness and respectfulness, something our families and ancestors have always taught us how to be.

Although the movie was very short and bland, I think they all did a great job. The ending could have been a little more romantic to where they meet each other and have a Laotian wedding or something, but it was ok. Over all, the movie was great. More Lao movie to air please!!!!

the movie is plain , it like eating a plain sticky rice with nothing with it , but if you a laotian like me , you will like this movie because of the scenery and the people , but they should spice it up a bit

OMG THIS movie is very good and have a good meaning too it Ananda is so cuteeeeeeeee and handsome such a good actor he respect his own nationality even though his mix and he respect the laos girls and their culture very sweet and gentleman guy Im glad I watch this movie love Ananda he so sweet and have manners in this movie nothing much happens just shows the places of Laos very beautiful places to go and visit miss it good job and good cooperation between thailand+laos hopefully theres another movie like this and a 2nd part to it with more love scene between ananda and khamlek shes so cute+pretty must watch 2 thumbs up!!!!!!!!!

The first reason I watch this movie is; where I came from. LAOS !!
The Second,I Love Ananada, he is great thai actor by far, and very very cute.
The Third is the first movie made in Laos. The film is very non-emotion film, much more like a traveling AD to Laos more than two people meet and fall in love. The soundtrack is not very appropriate for the movie, old laos song re-master that's all. Hopefully the next film have some intense conflict, and much better story-line than this film.
I have to give A++++++++++ for Ananda to be part of this film, I'm not disppointed by buying the VCD.
