Story :

Pu, a misfit young woman has been dreaming of her dead mother building a house. A fortune-teller who tells her that if the dream continues, her father will die when the house is completed. Her father, a playboy is a karaoke regular. He meets a woman of his fantasy called Yok, a high class lady of the night who belongs to a young Chinese mafia. One of the mafia's hit man named Noi, who having a crush on Pu, but too shy to ask her out. Noi is a half Thai Caucasian, the product left behind by an American G.I. who had a good time with Thai woman during the Vietnam war. Pu can not stop her dream of the house, while her father relationship with Yok brings him one bad luck after another.

เรื่องราวของหญิงสาวชื่อ "ปู" เธอฝันถึงแม่ที่เสียไปแล้วตั้งแต่เธอยังเล็ก ในฝันนั้น แม่ สร้างบ้านหลังหนึ่งอยู่ ทุกครั้งที่เธอฝันถึงแม่ "บ้าน" ในฝันหลังนั้น ก็เสร็จขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ปูได้ไปเจอกับหมอดูซึ่งเป็นพ่อของเพื่อนสนิทของเธอ หมอดูทำนายว่าถ้าบ้านในฝันหลังนั้นเสร็จเมื่อไหร่ พ่อของเธอจะตาย พ่อของเธอนั้น ก็มีวิถีชีวิตที่สุ่มเสี่ยงกับการตายได้ตลอดเวลา พ่อสูบบุหรี่จัด ดื่มเหล้ามาก และเที่ยวคาราโอเกะ ตั้งแต่หัวค่ำยันเช้ามาเป็นเวลาไม่รู้กี่ปีแล้ว ตามภาษาคนที่ไม่ได้ทำงานอะไร นอกจากโทรศัพท์เล่นหุ้นและกินเงินจากกองมรดก ในคาราโอเกะแห่งนั้นเอง พ่อได้รู้จักกับ พี.อาร์. สาวเซ็กซี่ชื่อ "หยก" แล้วความสัมพันธ์ลับๆของทั้งสองก็เริ่มขึ้น ความสัมพันธ์ของพ่อและหยกดำเนินไปในขณะที่บ้านในฝันของปูก็เสร็จขึ้นเรื่อยๆ หยกเป็นแฟนสาวของเสี่ยโต้ง เจ้าของคาราโอเกะที่พ่อไปเที่ยว ความสัมพันธ์ลับๆของพ่อและหยกนั้น เสี่ยโต้งรู้เรื่องตลอด และความสัมพันธ์อันนี้เอง ที่นำพาเอาความโชคร้าย และการเจ็บตัวหนักขึ้นเรื่อยๆมาสู่พ่อ ขณะเดียวกันกับที่ "บ้าน" ในฝันของปู นั้นเป็นรูปร่างใกล้เสร็จขึ้นทุกที และไม่ว่าปูพยายามจะหยุดมันอย่างไรก็ไม่สำเร็จ ในที่สุด แม่ก็สร้างบ้านเสร็จ และชะตาของพ่อก็ขาดลง พ่อจะตายตามคำทำนายของหมอดู หรือจะมีปาฏิหารบางอย่างที่ทำให้พ่อรอดไปได้

I'm glad that some video company chose to release this movie on VCD WITH ENGLISH SUBTITLES finally! and for humanity's sake,if any Thailand video company wishes to release a dvd of any thai film,it'd not hurt to add the English Subtiles feature. what's the extra space there for? Don't waste it.

Since I'm a big fan of Ray Macdonald,this is one of his films that used to be very hard to find and view. I'm very thankful to be able to watch his first film role. Is it his first? I'm not sure. But this film has become one of my favourite Thai films of all time.

Pen-eak's '69' and 'Last life..' is equally good. I like the way the stories developed and how the director chooses what kind of characters to portray.

Ray has so much potential in his career. He played the character so well...and he's just so lovable in some scenes!

BUT - what is that thing floating above?? The mic?! It's quite horrific to see some black thing floating about. haha
